LOCAL DEALER DID NOT HAVE ONE YET BUT I WENT UP TO NEW HAMPSHIRE AND SAW ONE THERE. TRYING TO COMPARE IT TO A JD 790 BEFORE I GO OUT AND PURCHASE. IT SEEMED AS IF THE DRIVER AREA WAS ERGONOMICALLY EASIER TO GET IN AND OUT OF THAN TH JD. THE GEAR SHIFT WAS ON THE LEFT SIDE V.S. THE MIDDLE IN THE JD 790. I WOULD ASSUME THAT THIS IS EASIER FOR LOADER WORK. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON A TC30 OTHER THAN WHAT YOU COULD READ ABOUT IN THE NEW HOLLAND BROCHURES? MY UNDERSTANDING FROM A PREVIOUS POST IS THAT IT IS BASICALLY A 1520 REWORKED TO COMPETE WITH JD. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY OPINIONS AND INFORMATION. THANKS

New Holland has pictures and info posted on the TC30 now. I had spoke with some NH engineers this past summer @ Empire Farm Days and they both indicated a "rebadged" 1520. The pictures look like major changes and they are NICE!

It appears the operator station is less cluttered than JD790... another tit for tat. I attached the website info for you.

Thank you John for the web site and the picture link. The picture link shows a reversed picture but you can really see how roomy the TC30 is. The only thing that I didn't like about it was the steering wheel. I was thin so that it didn't feel right. It felt cheap but I noticed other New Hollands with the same type. It appears that New Holland did a great job with this one. I prefer this look versus the "Ford Taurus" like look of the Boomers that are currently available. What do users feel about the gear shift lever on the left hand side? I do not want HST. I am right handed. Sounds stupid, but does it really make a difference? ....

I've got a New Holland TC-29 with the gear shift lever on the left hand side of the steering wheel. I'm right handed and have no problem shifting gears. After a couple of minutes, it becomes a natural thing. ....
